Didcot First are delighted to announce that Sue Scane
has joined their Board of Directors.
Sue recently retired from Oxfordshire County Council
and held a number of prestigious roles such as Chief Finance Officer before
moving onto Director of Environment and Economy. Whilst at the Council Sue helped to gain the
City Deal, which aims to maximise the ‘big science’ facilities throughout the
county including Harwell, Milton Park & Culham.
David Pryor, Chair of Didcot First, said: “Our
Directors and I are very excited to have Sue come onto the Didcot First
Board.Sue brings an extensive knowledge
of local Government along with all the latest ideas and developments being
discussed for the county and Didcot area.”
Sue, who lives in Didcot with her husband said: “I am
excited to be joining Didcot First, so I can continue to aid the development of
our area. Didcot has a great many
opportunities, and I know that Didcot First wants to help ensure they are
developed properly for the benefit of the town.”
The Didcot First board is made up by local influential
organisations and its supporters bringing together specialist skills and
knowledge from business, housing, education and community sectors. The organisation has been working in Didcot
since 2006 and has benefitted thousands of people in the local area with a
number of events and activities since its creation.
