Founded in 2006 by a group of local business and community members with a keen interest in seeing Didcot flourish, the organisation is an independent, apolitical body focused on connecting business, community, education and charities. The Didcot First Board meets quarterly to discuss and explore real-time related issues and challenges and how it can influence improvement and change.

Didcot First is a host to Cafe Scientifique which takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, with speakers drawn from the science community who talk about a wide range of topics. Find out more here or go to our events page to see what’s on.

The Didcot Powerhouse Fund was established in 2021 with the full support and backing of Didcot First behind it. Together with local businesses and the community, Powerhouse has been able to deliver annual grants to organisations working hard locally to improve the lives of people who live in Didcot and the surrounding villages. Didcot First is also a Quantum donor to Powerhouse.

The Didcot Community Forum was founded by Didcot First and has five key priorities that proactively create positive change in the Greater Didcot area. Click here to discover more about the work it is doing.
