On Saturday 16th March, Award nominees, guests and dignitaries gathered at Didcot Civic Hall to announce the winners of the 2023 Didcot Town Council Awards, recognising the contribution made by members of the local community.
Students from Step in Time entertained guests with their superb tap dance and ballet routine solos and ensembles, adding sparkle to the evening.
Award categories included Sport, Allotments, Unsung Hero, Environment, Artistic, Young volunteer, Fundraising, Smile and the John Eldridge Award that went to Andrew Snell from the Didcot Emergency Food Bank. Further details to follow on the nominees and winners of each category.
Councillor and Mayor of Didcot, Axel Macdonald, oversaw the evening’s proceedings, supported by VIPs including Elizabeth Paris, Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire and Councillor Mocky Khan who announced the winners of each category.
The event was a wonderful example of the great work that often goes on unseen by the people of Didcot.
