Didcot Railway Centre is excited to announce that have welcomed back the iconic Flying Scotsman steam train to Didcot Railway Centre to star alongside the Pendennis Castle. On the 100th anniversary of their first meeting, staff at the centre are beyond thrilled to have brought them together again.
At various times during the day, visitors will be able to ride in vintage coaches behind both locomotives on the main demonstration line and take advantage of photo opportunities with both engines side by side in front of the 1932 engine shed.
A special temporary exhibition with some rarely seen artefacts of these locomotives’ intertwined lives will be on display, alongside all the regular centre exhibitions and facilities which will also be open as usual.
Opening hours for the Flying Scotsman Steam Days are 9am- 5pm with the last admission at 2:30pm. Specified dates between 14th May and 1st June 2025. Please book via the website as DRC expects to be extremely busy on these special days, so pre-booking is essential as they cannot guarantee tickets will be available on the door.
