Help shape your £530,000 Community Fund

National Grid wants your feedback on how a new £530,000 Community Fund linked to work at Didcot substation might best be spent.

The Fund is intended to support community priorities in Didcot and surrounding areas, helping deliver lasting benefits for local people and places.

Residents, community groups and local organisations are invited to complete a two-minute survey by 27 October 2026, to tell National Grid what matters most in the area and help shape how the funding is spent and ensure it reflects local needs and aspirations.
Complete the survey here.

For more information about the consultation, including frequently asked questions, please visit: www.nationalgrid.com/didcot-substation. We anticipate that the fund will open for applications in early 2027 and more information on how this will operate will be shared following the consultation.

The consultation runs from Tuesday 22 September to Tuesday 27 October 2026.

We will also be holding and attending the following events to speak to local people about the Community Fund:

  • Didcot Garden Town Community Update Meeting, 30 September, 5pm to 7:30pm (Harwell Village Hall, OX11 0EX)
  • Pop-up event at The Orchard Centre near Sainsburys, 6 October, 1pm to 5pm (Central Drive, Didcot, OX11 7ND)
