In its second year of grant-giving The Didcot Powerhouse Fund has just announced the successful list of organisations that will receive grants in 2023 and you can click here to see the full list of 18 who secured £80,000 worth of Powerhouse grants ranging from £400 to £10,000.
Their projects will deliver against Powerhouse’s important annual theme this year of “Supporting Mental Health & Wellbeing in these Times of Hardship”. Poor mental health in particular, has increased significantly since the pressures of the pandemic, compounded by the cost of living crisis, bringing added stress to many individuals and families.
The Powerhouse Grants Panel faced a difficult task to select the final 18 applicants from all those who applied and through this process they discovered the wealth of community activity that’s going on to support people in Didcot and the surrounding villages. However, more help is always needed so the grants this year will further some of the projects commenced in 2022 and help start new ones.
