The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) will be running a hustings in the new Didcot and Wantage constituency at 7:30pm at Didcot Civic Hall, Didcot on Monday 17th June. All guests need to pre-register for the event, by booking a place here.
In the run up to the General Election, BBOWT wants to ensure that the right to a healthy environment is at the top of the political agenda. They have invited the potential parliamentary candidates for Didcot and Wantage to attend a hustings to discuss how they will address these issues if elected. As a group, BBOWT is politically impartial and is keen to ensure that everyone has an equal chance to contribute.
It’s an opportunity to show your potential parliamentary candidates that these issues are important to the voting public. The next UK Government will be responsible for delivering the majority of the UK’s 2030 environmental targets. Therefore, in the run up to the General Election, BBOWT wants to ensure that as many people are talking about the health of our natural world and our local communities as possible.
