The Day the Dinosaur Died
Dinosaurs were the most successful group of animals to have walked the planet, thriving on every continent for 165 million years. Until one day, they didn’t. This talk explores what happened on that day, the causes of the mass extinction, the local and global impacts and what it reveals about life on Earth today.
Victoria is an Environmental Consultant working in a high-hazard industry, helping to deliver high standards of environmental protection on complex projects. Away from work, her focus shifts from present-day environmental challenges to the deep history of our planet, with a particular passion for all things dinosaur. She can often be found exploring the Natural History Museums in London and Oxford, reading palaeontology papers or attending lectures – a habit which contributes to an ever-groaning bookshelf.
