Discovering the Past: Archaeology with DigVentures at the Earth Trust Centre, Little Wittenham.
About the talk – My experiences working for DigVentures during the past two years of their ongoing archaeological excavations at the Earth Trust Centre. This will include an overview of the site, significant artefacts, archaeological techniques and general information.
Biography – After a military and logistics management career, I decided to study archaeology at university part-time. Ultimately this culminated with successfully completing my MSc in Applied Landscape Archaeology at the University of Oxford.
I worked for Oxford Archaeology as a field archaeologist for about four years (sadly a shoulder injury killed it off), and despite now being back in Defence, each year I work for DigVentures for a couple of weeks as a Community Archaeologist/trench supervisor, specifically at the Earth Trust Centre excavations.
