“Talking rubbish”
Martin Capstick, Managing Director of the North London Waste Authority (NLWA)
This presentation outlines ways in which we can reduce waste and use what is thrown away as a resource, reducing the depletion of the planet’s reserves. It looks specifically at the measures being taken in building a new energy from waste facility to make its environmental performance as positive as possible.
This talk will be given by Martin Capstick. Martin and the Capstick family have lived on Ladygrove in Didcot for nearly 30 years. For the last 5 of those years he’s been managing director of the North London Waste Authority (NLWA). NLWA is responsible for managing the waste of over 2 million residents in the capital. From that vantage point, it helps citizens to throw away less and argues for changes to make society more sustainable.
